Are your webinars not bringing in new clients?

Your webinar isn’t to blame. It’s inertia, that’s your culprit.

Inertia? What’s physics got to do with paying clients?

Everything.

In physics, inertia is “a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.”

Read that last part again: “unless that state is changed by an external force.”

The “property of matter” is the potential client.
The “external force” is, you guessed it, YOU.

People are naturally inert.

In other words, folks will watch your webinar and even if you hold the key to their answer, they still will not go out of their way to contact you.

That’s because they aren’t the “external force”. That’s your job.

So, what exactly can you do to overcome inertia, to be that “external force” and convert those leads?

Amie: If you’re doing online workshops, webinars, and you’re struggling to get those registrants to take that next step with you, whether it be a free consultation, the phone call, what have you, the problem isn’t your webinar, it’s the followup.

You could have the best presentation, but it won’t mean anything unless you reach out to that person.

People are naturally too comfortable and set in their ways. Even if it means there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for them, and you have the solution and the answer to their problems, they’re not going to be that proactive in contacting you.

So you will have to be the one who’s proactive and keep following up and keep being persistent in that.

 

The Most Successful Way to Follow Up

 

One of the easiest ways to follow up is by sending a text message, and it happens to be one of the most successful ways of getting in touch with someone.

Because most people, they don’t pick up the phone when they see a phone number that’s an unknown. If they don’t recognize the phone number, they won’t pick up. If you send them a text message, it will save you a whole lot of time on playing the whole phone tag game of leaving voicemails for each other.

 

What If They Don’t Reply?

 

So start with a text message, and if they still don’t reply, send them an email with a thank you video attached to it.

It could just be a generic video, you only have to shoot one video, and then include it in all the other emails that you’re sending to your followups. The thank you message is to let them know what to expect, make it very clear to them what the next step is, and what they can expect from that.

I can tell you, as marketers, that we’ve learned it takes anywhere between five and seven times to get a contact to be prompted to contact you back.

So it takes a little bit of persistence on your end, but sometimes people just get caught up with life and they forget.

You don’t want them to forget that they were interested in you at one point in time, so keep persisting, keep following up, try the text messages, try the thank you videos.
