My name is Dan Hafner and I will be your host for this podcast. I want to thank you all for joining whether this is your first time with us or you have tuned into an episode previously, welcome to the show!
For this episode we want to discuss a few things about our series. We will be answering questions like; what is this show, why does it exist, and what you can expect from future episodes? First, let’s start with some introductions. You already know me, but this podcast is brought to you by a company called Bambiz. We work exclusively with elder law and estate planning attorneys within the online marketing space.
Going back about four, almost five years ago now, our company was founded by Jim Blake. His wife Andrea was working for companies in the elder council space and the Heckerling Institute. Just by association, Jim came to realize that while attorneys are great at estate planning and elder law, many of them experienced a common problem.
They were behind the curve and didn’t really understand the online marketing space. Many of these attorneys didn’t understand how to properly and effectively use marketing to not only grow their firms but also communicate their story to prospective clients in their area. They were great at law but not so good at getting people in the door.
So, Jim started this business of helping firms by giving away downloadable content, hosting webinars and workshops, and even doing recorded shows. Through all of these tactics and methods the business began blooming. We were helping firms across the country grow and experience success by giving care and attention to the online portion of their business.
We decided that we wanted to make a bigger impact. Which is why our goal is to help you make a bigger impact and help the people of your immediate area age with dignity, leave a lasting legacy for their family, and help them untangle the mess that could be left for their loved ones in the case of heading to a nursing home or passing away unexpectedly.
This is not a podcast where we will try to sell you things, we want to provide you with the tools and tips you need to be successful. Whether that is the tricks of the trade or sharing things that we see working within the online marketing space. Everything from websites and SEO to social media and advertising, we will be touching on it all throughout this series.
Whether you are on your way to work, out for a run, or just sitting at home this is a great show to give you ideas and tactics that you can take back to your practice and implement. Maybe you have been considering posting more on Facebook or starting a YouTube channel, whatever the case may be we are going to talk about everything related to your business in an online space. And we are going to do it through various methods and methodologies.
What can you expect going forward? Most of these episodes will be me talking to you in short episodes no longer than 20 minutes. We don’t plan on making these hour long podcast episodes, the goal is to provide you with short, consumable, and actionable steps. We want you to be able to take away and actually implement the things we talk about. One of the things that changed my life forever was when I realized that you can consume all the content in the world but if you don’t take action it’s not worth anything.
We aim to publish at least one episode a week, but there might be a bonus episode occasionally because we have a lot of really great interviews lined up. Our guests are successful and bright up and coming elder law and estate planning attorneys. Some of them are our clients, others have requested to be on the show. Whether they’re crushing the SEO game, their website is spectacular or they have some amazing advertising campaigns we are going to pick their brains.
Other episodes might focus on trends and what is happening in the elder law and estate planning world. Keep in mind we won’t be talking about anything legal within each state, every state has its own laws so we will keep things to a national level. For example, this strategy is working really well on Facebook right now and here are the steps you can take to implement it. We want to keep this podcast relevant and actionable for you and might have some downloadable content, later on, to go with some of the episodes.
Well, that about wraps up this episode. Our podcast is available for you to listen to on Spotify, YouTube, Apple, Google Podcast, and even our website. Please subscribe and if you like our content feel free to like, share comment, or leave us a review. We appreciate you tuning in to the inaugural episode of our Elder Law Growth Podcast. Again, my name is Dan Hafner and we will talk to you next time!
