Have you ever had somebody no show for one of your educational workshops? Or maybe somebody left early out of your last webinar. Then you try to follow up with those people to get them to sign up for the consultation or see if you’re able to help them, but they’ve ghosted you.
I found this idea from somebody that’s in the financial services industry. I wanted to share with you because I think it could revolutionize the way that you follow up with these potentially lost leads.
In case you didn’t know who I am, I’m Jim Blake. I’m the owner of Bambiz. So let’s get back into it. What is this tip that has changed this particular person’s business?
They take those lost leads and they follow up with them in a way that is completely different than how they’ve been following up with them previously. What does that mean?
Say, for example, we’re marketing one of your live educational workshops – or this could be a webinar. They attend, or they don’t attend and then they get lost. They ghost you. You’ve called them, you’ve texted them, you’ve sent emails, you’ve done everything. You’re like “oh my goodness. I thought they were ready to go and now they’ve ghosted us. They’ve disappeared off the face of the earth.”
What this person did, was they had this very nice letter that they typed up and basically invited them back in for that consultation or that initial meeting. They used direct mail from the office and made it really personal. They had the attorney sign that letter, put that in an envelope and then mail that to the person.
They were able to get about 10 to 20% of those no shows turning into consultations, by providing them with a follow-up that was unique. It wasn’t a phone call, text message, or email, it was a physical nice piece of paper signed by the person [in your case that’d be the attorney] inviting them to come back in. Thanking them again, for taking the time to reach out. Letting them know how you’re able to help them, and how you’ve helped others in their unique situation. Giving it a personal touch and a direct either link to schedule or a phone number. Some way for them to get back in contact with your office.
If you implement that, it could change the game for you. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to our team.
